Parents Take to the Track at St Augustine’s

St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School in Darlington has shared the much-anticipated photographs from its parent races, giving families a chance to relive one of the most memorable moments from the recent school event. Parents enthusiastically took part in the races, providing plenty of excitement and entertainment for pupils. The event saw adults step onto the track and embrace the competitive spirit, much to the delight of the children cheering from the sidelines.

After an exciting series of events, St Patrick’s House (Green) emerged as this year's overall winners, securing first place with an impressive 5,162 points.

St Augustine’s Reception Class Welcomes Special Police Visit

St Augustine’s Primary School in Darlington welcomed a very special guest today, as the Reception class enjoyed an exciting and educational visit from a local police officer. The session gave young pupils the opportunity to learn about the role of the police and how officers help to keep communities safe. During the visit, the police officer introduced Ben, who joined the class and helped make the experience both engaging and memorable.

St Augustine’s Primary School in Darlington is celebrating the success of its Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, who recently took part in an exciting Quadkids athletics event. The children enjoyed a fantastic morning of sport and physical activity, where they competed in four different events. In each activity, pupils earned points, encouraging both individual effort and teamwork throughout the competition.

Well done to our girls’ football team, who showed fantastic determination this week despite their defeat to Abbey. The team played brilliantly and should be very proud of their efforts.  We also have two exciting matches still to come before the end of the season. Our boys’ team will be playing away to Abbey next week, followed by the girls’ team who will take on Gurney Pease the week after.
