The event saw adults step onto the track and embrace the competitive spirit, much to the delight of the children cheering from the sidelines.

The session gave young pupils the opportunity to learn about the role of the police and how officers help to keep communities safe. During the visit, the police officer introduced Ben, who joined the class and helped make the experience both engaging and memorable.

St Augustine’s Primary School in Darlington is celebrating the success of its Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, who recently took part in an exciting Quadkids athletics event. The children enjoyed a fantastic morning of sport and physical activity, where they competed in four different events. In each activity, pupils earned points, encouraging both individual effort and teamwork throughout the competition.

Well done to our girls’ football team, who showed fantastic determination this week despite their defeat to Abbey. The team played brilliantly and should be very proud of their efforts. We also have two exciting matches still to come before the end of the season. Our boys’ team will be playing away to Abbey next week, followed by the girls’ team who will take on Gurney Pease the week after.

Our boys’ football team had a fantastic afternoon at Rockliffe Park, the training ground of Middlesbrough FC. Thanks to Mrs Kalimeris, who organised this fantastic opportunity, the boys took part in training drills led by academy coaches, gaining a valuable insight into life as a professional footballer.
Year 5 Visit Darlington Train Station
Our Year 5 pupils have arrived safely at Darlington Train Station and are full of excitement as they take part in the grand opening celebration following the incredible £100 million redevelopment. This is a fantastic opportunity for our children to be part of such a significant local event, and we are very proud to see them representing St Augustine’s. Their enthusiasm and curiosity have already made it a memorable experience!
