What a brilliant morning of tennis for our Year 5 and Year 6 team, who took part in the Darlington School Sport Partnership Competition today!

Our pupils showed fantastic self‑belief, passion, and determination, proudly demonstrating the tennis skills they have been learning this half term during their PE lessons with Sporting Futures. Their teamwork, focus, and positive attitude were clear throughout every match.

The intent of the competition was to develop confidence and competence in physical activity, while also championing youth engagement in sport—and our team certainly achieved this! They represented St. Augustine’s beautifully and embodied everything we value in school sport.

We are incredibly proud to share that our team returned to school with shiny bronze medals
A special shout‑out goes to Reuben, who was awarded an extra medal for Player of the Tournament — a fantastic achievement!

Well done to all of our players for their hard work, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm. You’ve made St. Augustine’s very proud!
