RE Curriculum at St Augustine’s
At St Augustine’s, Religious Education is at the heart of our school community and plays a vital role in nurturing each child’s faith journey. For many years, the Come and See programme has provided the foundation of our RE curriculum, helping children develop their understanding of scripture, tradition and Catholic life through meaningful links to their own experiences.
We are currently transitioning to The Way, the new Religious Education Directory curriculum developed by the Diocese. This exciting development builds upon our strong Catholic tradition while deepening children’s understanding of faith, prayer and discipleship. Through engaging learning, reflection and discussion, pupils are encouraged to grow in their relationship with God and develop a greater appreciation of other faiths and cultures.
As we move through this transition, we remain committed to inspiring a sense of awe and wonder in all our children as they encounter the richness of faith and the message of the Gospel.
