Today, our talented Year 5 and 6 Tees Valley Sports Hall Athletics Finalists enjoyed a truly brilliant morning of sport, and everyone at St. Augustine’s Catholic Primary School is incredibly proud of them. Their teamwork, determination and self-belief were outstanding from start to finish.
After progressing through the Darlington heats and finals earlier in the season, the team travelled to Eston Leisure Centre to represent Darlington in the Tees Valley Finals. They competed against 11 other qualifying schools, demonstrating just how high the level of competition was.
Despite being one of the smallest schools participating, our children finished an amazing 5th overall across the entire Tees Valley — an exceptional achievement and a true testament to their skill, hard work, and spirit.
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our parent helpers, both today and throughout the earlier sports hall events. Your support, encouragement and time make such a difference, and we are incredibly grateful.
