We warmly invite families considering a Reception place to join us for our Reception Open Evening on Tuesday 3rd November 2026 from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to visit our school, meet our dedicated staff team, explore our Reception setting and discover how we support children as they begin their educational journey.

Reception Children Explore Their Future Careers
At St Augustine's Catholic Primary School, our Reception children have been enjoying conversations about jobs, careers and their hopes for the future. As part of their learning, the children shared ideas about the exciting careers they would like to pursue when they are older. From pop stars and firefighters to doctors and vets, there was no shortage of enthusiasm and imagination as they explored the many different ways people contribute to and support our communities.
A Fantastic Day of Cross Country
Pupils demonstrated fantastic self-belief, determination and resilience as they took part in the recent Cross Country competition. Throughout the event, our runners gave their very best effort, tackling the challenging course with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. It was wonderful to see so many children pushing themselves, supporting one another and showing great sportsmanship from start to finish.
