St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School in Darlington has shared the much-anticipated photographs from its parent races, giving families a chance to relive one of the most memorable moments from the recent school event.

Parents enthusiastically took part in the races, providing plenty of excitement and entertainment for pupils. The event saw adults step onto the track and embrace the competitive spirit, much to the delight of the children cheering from the sidelines.

The school thanked all those who participated, recognising the important role families play in creating special experiences for pupils. While some parents may have been feeling the effects of their efforts the following morning, their willingness to get involved helped make the day even more enjoyable for everyone.

A spokesperson for the school said: “The moment you’ve all been waiting for! Hopefully, no sore legs this morning… It’s the photo evidence of those who took part in the parent races yesterday. Thank you for helping create wonderful memories for the children.”

Events such as parent races are a popular part of school celebrations, bringing together pupils, families and staff in a fun and supportive atmosphere. By joining in, parents helped create lasting memories that children will look back on fondly for years to come.

The newly released photographs capture the enthusiasm, determination and good humour shown by everyone who took part, highlighting the strong sense of community.
