It’s Wonderful Work Wednesday, and Year 2 have had a fantastic time designing and creating their own moving vehicles during their design and technology lessons.
The children were given a design brief to create a vehicle suitable for young children. Using materials such as cardboard boxes, dowel, paper, cotton reels and wooden wheels, they carefully built the chassis and body of their designs, using a range of tools and techniques.
Once the structures were complete, the children enjoyed getting creative with decorations and finishing touches, making each vehicle unique. The highlight of the project was testing the vehicles to see if they worked as planned and making adjustments along the way — showing brilliant problem‑solving skills and resilience.
Year 2 demonstrated excellent creativity, teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the project. A truly fun and valuable learning experience — well done, Year 2!
