At St Augustine's Catholic Primary School, our Reception children have been enjoying conversations about jobs, careers and their hopes for the future.
As part of their learning, the children shared ideas about the exciting careers they would like to pursue when they are older. From pop stars and firefighters to doctors and vets, there was no shortage of enthusiasm and imagination as they explored the many different ways people contribute to and support our communities.
The activity provided a wonderful opportunity for pupils to think about their interests, develop their speaking and listening skills, and learn more about the important roles people play in everyday life. It was inspiring to hear the children's ambitions and discover the dreams they have for the future.
We were especially proud of the confidence shown by our young learners as they spoke about their aspirations and explained why certain careers appealed to them. These discussions encouraged curiosity, creativity and a positive outlook towards the future.
Hearing about our children's hopes and dreams was a real highlight, and we look forward to seeing how their interests continue to develop as they progress through their school journey.
