A Fantastic End-of-Year Adventure
Year 6 pupils at St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School in Darlington enjoyed a fantastic day on two wheels as part of their Year 6 Leavers’ Bike Ride 2026.
The children completed an impressive 12-mile round trip, showing excellent determination, resilience and enthusiasm throughout the journey.
A Well-Deserved Treat
A highlight of the ride was a stop at Archers Ice Cream Parlour, where pupils enjoyed a well-earned ice cream before continuing with the second half of their adventure.
The stop provided a perfect opportunity for the children to relax, celebrate their achievement and spend time together as they create special memories during their final weeks at primary school.
Demonstrating Determination and Teamwork
Throughout the ride, the pupils demonstrated fantastic perseverance and a positive attitude, encouraging one another and embracing the challenge from start to finish.
The experience was not only a great way to stay active but also a wonderful opportunity to build confidence and enjoy time together before moving on to secondary school.
