On the 26th of March, a fantastic group of girls from Years 5 and 6 represented St Augustine’s at a football tournament! They played nine games throughout the day — winning two, drawing two, and losing five — but the biggest win was the FUN they had together.

A huge shout‑out to Niamh, who stepped into goal even though she isn’t a goalkeeper. She was amazing all day! Our usual keeper sadly came down with chicken pox right before the event, but Niamh absolutely rose to the challenge.

St Augustine’s finished 8th out of 9, competing against some very strong teams. But results weren’t what mattered — the teamwork, encouragement, and determination were what made the day special. Coaches and the young leaders from Wyvern created such a supportive atmosphere, which was brilliant to see.

At St Augustine’s, we care about staying active and looking after our mental health. If you love football like these girls, get involved in a club or activity you enjoy and keep moving!

Proud to say my club is Darlington FC Locomotives!
