Our Year 3 children have been working incredibly hard as they develop their skills in field hockey. Over the past few sessions, they have been focusing on controlling the ball, moving with confidence, and beginning to learn how to pass accurately to a partner.

Although Mr Cummins couldn’t quite manage to set up an outdoor ice rink, the children have discovered that field hockey is a brilliant sport in its own right. They have thrown themselves into every lesson with enthusiasm, showing great perseverance as they improve week by week.

It has been wonderful to see their teamwork grow, their coordination strengthen, and their enjoyment of the sport shine through. These sessions not only build physical skills but also help our pupils develop focus, resilience and a real love for trying something new.

Well done to our fantastic Year 3 class — we are so proud of your effort and positive attitude.
