We had a wonderful time celebrating World Bee Day, with both Key Stage One and EYFS enjoying a range of exciting, bee‑themed activities.

Key Stage One: Learning Through Stories

Key Stage One pupils had a buzzing day dressing up and exploring fascinating bee facts through the stories “Bee My Friend” and “BumbleBear”. It was a fun and engaging way to learn about these important pollinators.

Reception: Creativity and Careful Listening

In Reception, children followed step‑by‑step instructions to create their own fantastic bee drawings, demonstrating excellent listening and artistic skills.

Nursery: Exploring Through Play

Our Nursery children enjoyed a variety of hands‑on activities, including:

  • Shape‑matching bee tasks to support early maths skills
  • Cutting and sticking activities
  • Creative sponge printing and bee drawings

A Hive of Activity

It was truly a hive of activity and learning across EYFS, with children showing enthusiasm, creativity and curiosity throughout the day.

A fantastic celebration of learning and the importance of bees in our world!
