What an unforgettable day of football! Our boys’ team showed incredible determination, teamwork and resilience as they won the Darlington Primary Football Cup for the second year in a row!
The tournament began with three group-stage matches, where the team made a dominant start — winning all three games, scoring 10 goals and conceding none. Their confidence, passing play and sharp attacking movement set the tone for the rest of the competition.

In the next round, the boys played seven more matches against the top-performing teams from the earlier fixtures. With fantastic fast build‑up play and clever teamwork, they secured five wins, one draw and one narrow defeat, scoring 13 goals and conceding just two.
Their outstanding effort meant the team finished level on points with St George’s, but thanks to their superior goal tally, they claimed 1st place and lifted the trophy!
We are incredibly proud of every player for representing the school with such talent, teamwork and sportsmanship:

A huge thank you to Sara from Darlington School Sport Partnership for organising another fantastic day of sport.
